Those Glorious Bastards The Descendants of King Charles II of England and Scotland
|
In the present day of the internet, it has become
unprofitable to attempt to publish books of very large
genealogies. Not only is the book outdated by the time it
gets to the warehouse, the expense associated with the
publication makes it cost-prohibitive. Therefore, after
putting years of time into this project, I have decided to
put it on-line rather than let it go to waste. This has the
added advantage of being able to continue to correct
and update the text as time goes on.
Layout - If you are familiar with my other genealogy projects then you will recognize this format as a
standard outline. As with my other works, children are listed in order of birth regardless of gender.
When two descendants marry one another, the children will be listed under the father's entry.
Language and Titles This work is almost entirely British or American. Therefore, the language used is
English. People's names will be left as they are in their native country (ie- a Spaniard named Carlos
will not be translated to Charles). Titles will be presented in English with notations of country's origin if
needed.
Overlap with other works There are several places with this work overlaps with my other webpages
concerning the descendants of Empress Maria Theresia or King George I. In these instances there will
be a link to the appropriate webpage.
Updates and Corrections Are always welcome. Please e-mail them to dan@dan-willis.com
Symbols and Abbrieviations Here is a list of those used:
* born
+ died
= married
*ph. born posthumously
dv. divorce
ann. annulled
... missing information
t also a descendant of Charles II
This is a work in progress As time goes on I will upload the various lines of descent and activate the links between the pages as I do so. This work is extremely large so I beg patience as I get it all in a web format.
