State House Races
FEDERAL OFFICES
STATEWIDE OFFICES
STATE SENATE
EDUCATIONAL OFFICES
US Senate
Michael Bennet - Incumbent. Was appointed
by the Gov. to fill a vacancy. Has never held or
run for an elected office, but has very good
campaign organizers.
Andrew Romanoff - Former Speaker of the
State House. Lots of bad will among Dems over
him not being appointed instead of Bennet. Very
popular, but has weaker campaign organization.
Jane Norton - Former Lt. Gov. Generally
viewed as front-runner among GOP.
Ken Buck - Weld County DA. Tripped over the
starting gate.
Tom Wiens - State Senator. Filed in Nov, now
has catching up to do to catch Norton.
Steve Barton
Vincent Martinez
Cleve Tidwell

CD 1
Diana DeGette - Incumbent. Her seat until she
retires

CD2
Jared Polis - Incumbent. Freshman
Congressman from a very strong Dem district.
His only concern would be if challenged from
own party.
Stephen Bailey
Bob Brancato

CD3
John Salazar - Incumbent. Represents a swing
district, but has remained popular there.
Bob McConnell - Has an axe to grind, and
won't let the facts get in his way!
Scott Tiption - 06 candidate and State Rep for
HD58

CD4
Betsy Markey - Incumbent. A Dem representing
a heavily GOP district. Will have to fight hard to
hang onto seat.
Cory Gardner - State Rep. Viewed as the GOP
candidate farther to the right.
Tom Lucero - CU Regent. Viewed as the more
moderate GOP candidate.
Diggs Brown - Major in US Army
Dean Madere

CD5
Doug Lamborn - Incumbent. Typically faces
more serious challenges from own party than
from Dems.

CD6
Mike Coffman - Incumbent. District is
overwhelmingly GOP, so not in any danger.
John Flerlage - Defining "sacrifical donkey" for
2010
Rob McNealy - There is usually a Lib in this
race, but it never affects the outcome.

CD7
Ed Perlmutter - Incumbent. District is closely
split in voter registration, but Ed is very popular.
Also GOP has very little to offer here.

running for US Senate but was squeezed out of
that losing proposition for this one.
Michael Deming
Mike Sheeley

GOP is finally in lockstep behind him.

to lockstep yet.
Mark Vanderbilt - A dark horse. Sorta kinda
has a website.
Yoon Mager - 09 Littleton City Council
Candidate (not elected).
Kilo Sallis - Not surprising there would be a
Lib candidate.
Ben Goss - The Constitution Party usually
runs a candidate for the top offices.
Levi Hancock - There's a new party in town!
Rich Hand - Great name if nothing else
Jason Clark
Peter Carr
Michael Forrester
Kathleen Cunningham

Secretary of State
Bernie Buescher - Incumbent. Appointed to

to have much trouble getting elected.

several election-related cases. Does not seem
to be getting any early traction though.

State Treasurer
Cary Kennedy - Incumbent. Generally
popular, but may receive unwarranted
negativity due to poor economy.
Walker Stapleton - Has a lot of money raised
so far, but also a lot of bad family baggage: he
is a cousin to the Presidents Bush and a
descendant of Denver's Klansman Mayor of
the 1920's, Ben Stapleton
JJ Ament - Banker. He is showing strong
enough to possibly force a primary.
Muhammed Ali Hasan - General considered
a GOP gadfly. Has personal money though to
